A: santo file is a mediatic guerrilla group focused to develop a memegenic vision of life.


Q: What does "memegenic" mean?

A: A new philosophy to analyse life according to the polarity meme/gene. Genes control our bodies and obligue us to make more genes, and memes control our brains to make copies of themselves.
Curiosly enough, human beings are the battlefields where memes and genes collide.
To follow the memegenic thought is to find a way in which both memes and genes can survive, not exactly in harmony, but in a more honest way.

A: Art is one of the ways, a non-conceptual one, to express life as a fight between memes and genes. We consider it the more expressive way to do it.


Q: What is your relation with the original Brazilian guerrilla also called "cangaço"?

A: A common spirit of fighting against opression (in our modern world, corporative opression) and a similar liking of non-rational ways of acting, like voodoo, or Catholic superstitions .
It is a classical example of the fight between genes and memes.
